iOS vs Android Design Languages
iOS design follows Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG): SF Pro typeface, rounded rectangles, navigation via tab bars and navigation controllers, haptic feedback standards, and native component spacing (8pt grid). Android follows Material Design 3 (M3): Roboto typeface, 4dp baseline grid, FAB (Floating Action Button) patterns, and Material You dynamic colour theming. We design platform-appropriate UIs or cross-platform designs when React Native or Flutter is used.

User Flow Mapping and Screen Architecture
Before wireframing, we map all user flows: onboarding flow (sign-up, permissions, setup), core task flow (the primary action the app enables), notification re-engagement flow, settings and account management flow, and error/empty-state flows. Screen architecture documents the total number of unique screens, the navigation pattern, and the modal vs. push navigation hierarchy.

Component Library and Design System
App UI design is built on a Figma component library: atom-level components (buttons, inputs, icons, badges), molecule-level (form groups, list items, cards, modals), and organism-level (screens, overlays). iOS and Android variants are managed as Figma component variants. The library uses Figma Variables for colour tokens and typography scales, enabling theme switching (light/dark mode) from a single toggle.

Onboarding Flow Design
App onboarding is the highest-friction moment, with 25% of users abandoning after one session (Localytics, 2023). Effective onboarding design: progressive disclosure (show only what users need immediately), benefit-led screens (what will I get?) over feature-led (here is what this does), permission request screens that explain the value before the OS prompt, and skip/defer options for every non-critical step.

Accessibility in Mobile Apps
WCAG 2.2 and platform accessibility guidelines (Apple VoiceOver, Android TalkBack) require: dynamic type support (iOS) and scalable text (Android), minimum 44x44pt touch targets, colour contrast 4.5:1 for text, descriptive accessibility labels on all interactive elements, and accessible focus order. Accessibility is tested with assistive technology before submission to the App Store or Google Play.

App Store Visual Assets
Launch preparation includes App Store and Google Play visual assets: app icon (1024x1024px; no rounded corners applied, the store applies them), screenshot frames for all required device sizes (iPhone 6.9in, 6.5in, iPad 12.9in; Android phone and tablet), and a 30-second preview video storyboard. Feature graphic and promotional banners for seasonal ASO campaigns are included on request.

Developer Handoff for iOS and Android
Handoff includes a fully annotated Figma file with: iOS-correct 1x/2x/3x asset exports, Android-correct mdpi/hdpi/xhdpi/xxhdpi/xxxhdpi density buckets, 8pt (iOS) / 4dp (Android) spacing annotations, component states (default/pressed/disabled/error), and a motion specification document (spring animation curves, transition durations) aligned to platform conventions.
